I do not understand how when a representative of their company had agreed with me and confirmed that there was no indication that my items were final sale, as well as confirming that it was not even a clearance item, they can suddenly deny a refund for no reason and claim they owe no explanation. I asked how this could be when their own team had verified that my purchase was not in the clearance section (and therefore should not be final sale), and was told that they "don't have to give me an explanation". I reiterated that a previous customer service agent had verified that my purchase was NOT a clearance item and they told me the decision was final. I called back a week later to follow up and was told that my claim had been denied because "all clearance items are final sale". I was told they would reach out via email with information about either store credit or a refund, but I never received an email. Customer service verified that this was not stated in the product description, nor my receipt, and even verified that the jackets I bought were *not* in the clearance section. I called Spyder and communicated that this was not indicated anywhere in the purchase process. When the jackets did not work out, I tried to start the return process, only to find that they were nonreturnable. It did not say anywhere that these items were nonreturnable, nor did it state in my receipt that they were final sale. I reviewed the product description, and the company's return policy prior to purchasing, to ensure that I would be able to return them after the holidays if they didn't work. I purchased 2 jackets from Spyder that were not marketed as clearance or final sale items. ![]()
